Lima, Peru. — Zijin Mining Group, through its La Arena S.A. operation, solidified its position at ExpoCobre 2026, one of the region's most important copper industry events. The delegation was led by **James Wang Chun**, the group's vice president, who delivered the keynote presentation **“Zijin’s Copper Outlook in Latin America.”** In his address, he highlighted the region's strategic role in the company's global portfolio and its commitment to efficient, responsible, and long-term mining.
Meanwhile, Marco Balcázar, Director of Social Affairs at La Arena, participated in the panel “How to Manage Conflicts in the Copper Sector,” emphasizing early dialogue, transparency, and trust-building as fundamental pillars for the development of mining projects. Additionally, Balcázar was appointed President of ExpoCobre 2028, a significant recognition of his leadership and that of the company.
